Marie Stopes Tanzania (MST) is a marketing-focused, results-oriented social enterprise, which uses modern management and marketing techniques to provide family planning, reproductive and sexual healthcare and allied services. MST is a member of the Marie Stopes International (MSI) Global Partnership, which operates in over 45 countries worldwide. MST’s goal is to improve quality of life in Tanzania by dramatically improving access to and use of family planning and other reproductive health services.

We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our highly motivated team in the following roles;

Job purpose

The Finance officers will support the Finance Lead in performance of accounting and financial management support to the organization, ensuring that appropriate systems, procedures and controls are in place and duly followed to support the continued growth of the organization. S/he will ensure availability of timely, accurate complete financial information for purposes of analysis, audit and or decision making at all times.

Key Responsibility
• Financial Management and Reporting
• Manage daily bank transactions. Ensure that payments are processed, proper endorsement, and distributes cheques.
• Support Finance Lead in ensuring timely preparation of annual operational and capital budgets, performing revisions where appropriate
• Review the internal controls and systems in the various tasks and functions and advise on any necessary improvements to ensure compliance to donor requirements, organizational policies and are also ensure efficiency in operations.
• Provide technical financial staff training where necessary

Minimum requirements

• A professional qualified (or in final stages of study) accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA).
• A Bachelor of Accountancy degree or equivalent
• At least 3 years’ progressive experience with similar responsibilities, with ideally both NGO and private sector exposure.
