TANZANIA GOVERNMENT FLIGHT AGENCY (TGFA)

Tanzania Government Flight Agency (TGFA) is one of the executive agencies of Tanzania. It provides VIP flight services to government officials. Tanzania Government Flight Agency is hereby inviting application from suitably Tanzanians to fill the following vacant posts;

31.1 PRINCIPAL PILOT GRADE II - (1 POST) 

31.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Captain of an initial aircraft in the TGFA; s fleet.

• Carrying VIPs

• Further training and promoted to Captain of a regional Airliner like the government Fokker 50 after flying for at least 1,000 hers in primary turboprops.

• Initial training for promotion into jet aircraft.

• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by a supervisor.

31.1.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

•  By appointment after passing interview of a pilot with an Airline Transport

• Pilots License with Group I rating on a Regional Turboprops Airliner like Fokker 50 or equivalent and

• Flying experience of not less than 3,000 hours on turbine aircraft of which 2,000 hrs must be in command.

31.1.3 REMUNERATION

• Attractive remuneration package in accordance with the Institution’s salary scale (TGFTS 9)

31.2 SENIOR AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (SAMT) (1 POST) 

31.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintenance of aircraft on Line Maintenance and in the hangar.

• Meeting and dispatching Aircraft as instructed by supervisor.

• Carrying out repairs and rectification on Aircraft and engines.

• Attending to all other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.


31.2.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Aircraft maintenance Technician who has completed and passed Basic Aircraft Maintenance course on at least one aircraft.

• Must have at least six years working experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician Test Grade One in electrical, Mechanical or Electronics from an Institution recognized by Government.

31.2.3 REMUNERATION

• Attractive remuneration package in accordance with the Institution’s salary scale
(TGFTS 4)

NB: GENERAL CONDITIONS

i. All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania and not above 45 years old, however, should also observe the age limit for each position where indicated.

- Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates.

- Computer Certificate

- Professional certificates from respective boards

- One recent passport size picture and birth certificate.

vi. FORM IV AND FORM VI RESULTS SLIPS ARE STRICTLY NOT ACCEPTED

vii. Testimonials, Partial transcripts and results slips will not be accepted.

viii. Presentation of forged academic certificates and other information in the CV will necessitate to legal action

ix. Applicants for senior positions currently employed in the public service should route their application letters through their respective employers.

x. Applicants for entry levels currently employed in the Public Service should not apply, they have to adhere to Government Circular Na. CAC. 45/257/01/D/140 dated 30th November, 2010.

xi. Applicants who have/were retired from the Public Service for whatever reason should not apply.

xii. Applicants should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts.

xiii. Certificates from foreign examination bodies for ordinary or advanced level education should be certified by The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA)

xiv. Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU)
