The research statistician will work in a variety of fields, including international health, governance, and education, as well as health services, economic and social development, education and training and the environment. This position requires the ability to work independently and as a member of a team to deliver high quality work. The ideal candidate will have strong SAS programming skills combined with strong writing skills.

Responsibilities
| ||
• Apply standard statistical and/or data management software package(s) to execute data processing, and data analysis activities.
• Conducting data processing and technically complicated data analysis with minimal or no supervision. • Develop solutions to problems where established theories and techniques have not been identified or where procedures are not established or are available. • Assist in the preparation, presentation, and follow-up of research proposals by providing computer programming support and analysis as well as writing sections of the technical proposal. • Manage large datasets; move and merge data files from different platforms, clean, aggregate data and perform quality control; evaluate/analyze and interpret data. • Carry out statistical analyses using SAS, or similar statistical programs and summarize and present findings to investigators. • Carry out appropriate professional development and scientific stature efforts. | ||
Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Statistics or Mathematics with at least 6 years of nonacademic related experience in the aforementioned areas of study.
• At least 6 years of experience with SAS and Excel • Excellent writing skills as evidenced by cover letter and writing samples • To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require now, or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status. Desired Skills: • Experience in survey statistics or sampling design. • Background or degree in Computer Science or English. | ||
