Group Director of Sales – Elewana Afrika
Contract: 2 years
Starting Date: Immediate
Package: Competitive package, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Work Locations : Initially based in Elewana’s head office in Nairobi, Kenya for a minimum of 6 months for product training and strategic planning.
This role would suit either a Kenyan/East African national or an international sales professional person willing to relocate for this initial period of product learning. In both cases significant international travel will be required during the full contract period.
What will you be doing?
As Director of Sales, you will build a sales plan and associated sales activities to execute with the Sales Team to achieve Sales targets and company goals. The Director of Sales will train, coach, and continuously development the Sales Team. Specifically, a Director of Sales will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

What will you be doing?
As Director of Sales, you will build a sales plan and associated sales activities to execute with the Sales Team to achieve Sales targets and company goals. The Director of Sales will train, coach, and continuously development the Sales Team. Specifically, a Director of Sales will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Assisted by the Marketing Director and reporting to the CEO, the Sales Director will build the sales plan for the Group to include sales targets based on market analysis.
- Assist in the annual rate strategy for the group
- Help identify, create and manage a Global Sales Team in key target markets
- With the Director of Marketing develop and design attractive offers and packages for Guests, travel agents and corporate client that can achieve and exceed sales targets
- Create the Group’s annual sales activities’ plan
- Monitor and analyse sales results
- Organise comprehensive information to existing and potential customers with regards to the product range offered by the Group, with the aid of the relevant sales resources and sales channels
- Manage smooth and effective Sales operations
- Cooperate with other departments within the Group (ie.Operations, Projects, HR)
- Expand new customer acquisitions and manage contacts with existing Guests and key trade contacts
- Prepare contracts for the Groups activities in accordance with current business and price/rate conditions
- Monitor offers, options and discounts for repeat bookings for groups
- Travel commitments to maintain, sustain and increase trade relationships through sales calls, trade events and other such undertakings.

- A knowledge of the safari industry will be distinctly advantageous
- A passion for sales and target-based performance
- Relevant degree, in sales, business development or other relevant business field, from an academic institution and/or relevant experience (minimum 5 years)
