Cardno Emerging Markets is looking for experts with working experience in trade in developing countries, preferably on projects funded by EC or DFID.

Experience in at least one of the following sectors is required:

Trade policy development and reform
Support to trade negotiations
Regional economic integration – support to establishment of customs unions
Trade facilitation, customs reform
Technical Barriers to Trade – legal and administrative framework, conformity assessment (accreditation, certification and testing laboratories), metrology, standards and norms, support to producers
Sanitary and Phytosanitary Standards- legal and administrative framework, conformity assessment (certification and testing laboratories), standards and norms, support to producers
Intellectual property (industrial property, copyright and related rights)
Trade in Services (policy, legal, regulatory and institutional environment for business services, communication services, financial services, tourism and travel related services, transport services and other services)
Competition policy
Trade and environment (assessment of environmental implications of production and trade, support formulation of mitigation measures, integration of trade related issues in the formulation and implementation of environmental policies)
Trade defence instruments, dispute settlement, transparency and government procurement
Trade promotion
Market analysis and development

Good knowledge of English or French.
