The William J. Clinton Foundation seeks an experienced and innovative Development professional with a proven track record in corporate, non-profit, and/or political fundraising in a fast-paced environment. This individual will lead the department’s grant and proposal writing, and also support the cultivation and stewardship of the Foundation’s mid-level donors.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for writing concept papers, proposals, grant applications, and other fundraising-related collateral for the department.
- Support the Director of Development and other senior development officers in planning and implementing the Foundation’s overall fundraising plan and strategy.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of mid-level donors.
- Assist the Director of Development and other team members with projects that contribute to the department’s overall goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 4 years experience in professional fundraising and development. Experience in national or international organizations a plus.
- Excellent writing skills and high proficiency in drafting formal proposals, grant applications, concept papers, and fundraising collateral.
- Proven track record of managing relationships, soliciting prospects, and closing gifts in one or more of the following areas: individuals, corporations, foundations, annual giving programs, and capital/endowment campaigns.
- A strong work ethic, supported by commitment and follow-through.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive attitude.
- The ability to work as part of a team and also independently.
- Ability to adapt quickly and to plan for and manage multiple projects while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be organized, creative, pro-active, detail-oriented, and strong ability to prioritize with superior time management and troubleshooting skills.
- Passion for the Clinton Foundation’s mission and commitment to fundraising.
- Solid computer skills. Preferred knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or other fundraising databases.
- Proficiency in online search methods, as well as online and offline prospect research tools including Lexis Nexis, Guidestar, NOZA Search, Foundation Search, Foundation Directory, and others.
This position will report to the Director of Development & Philanthropy.
