Our client, a transport/logistic company seeks an Assistant Procurement & Stores Manager to manage inbound and outbound cargo and establish strategies for item storage as well as monitor the movement of items inside and outside the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update on inventory projections and re-order levels
- Develop closer supplier relationships
- Improve monitoring and control of purchase and material management
- Negotiate effectively with vendors and to be capable of providing inputs in developing system
- Reviewing internal supply chain processes
- Create and arrange consignment for transportation.
- Supervise staff in procurement, stores and logistic operations
- Use exception reports to track status of stock
Qualifications/experience
- At least a Diploma in supply management
- At least 5 years experience in procurement and inventory management
- Knowledge of Procurement Act
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- An individual of high integrity
