IT Strategy Consultant

As an IT Strategy Consultant, you will be expected to help build out the IT Strategy servicing offering throughout the MEA region, as well as assist in helping clients to formulate and execute corporate strategies that address current and potential business opportunities and challenges and drives the realization of business value. These consultants must have extensive experience (15+ years) of using in-depth consulting skills and business knowledge to: • Align business objectives with IT transformational objectives • Define and refine business processes, business measurements and business tools • Analyze client business issues, formulate practical hypotheses, test conclusions and determine appropriate solutions to your clients business challenges. • Convert strategy into operational models and business architectures demonstrated by the ability to develop operating strategies and models to enable implementation of business strategy. • Align business strategy and operating models to IT strategy. You will be expected to have knowledge of and experience in: • The preparation of business cases • Running IT transformation projects and teams • Creation of business models and the supporting strategic value realization cases for change • The process of converting strategy into operational models and business architectures. Experience in the creation of business architectures and the underlying growth strategies in a growth market will be preferred. You will be working in a client-facing environment, and will be expected to engage clients at all levels with a particular focus on CxO level executives. These engagements will include: • The creation of solutions and proposal of offerings which assist customer in their strategy and reshaping their business operations and models • The leadership and delivery of strategic client projects • The provision of subject matter expertise which results in good ongoing relationships with clients that are strategic for IBM • The provision of strategy expertise to clients engaged by other areas within IBM (Software, Hardware, etc.) You will also be expected to build a team of IT strategy & Business architects which are able to: • Identify strategies that enable growth and cost savings through business improvement and technology initiatives • Determine the technical feasibility and cost of business and customer strategic options. • Determine strategic possibilities enabled by new technologies. This is a strategic role within the Strategy and Transformation Service Line, leading the Innovation & Growth Service Area which will address the opportunities our clients must seize to benefit from innovation and direct their business towards sustainable growth as well as decide on where and how to compete in their markets. The Innovation & Growth Service Area will include capabilities linking to business strategy, such as market and customer management, and technology strategy.
