Reporting to the Hydrocarbon Coordinator, we seek to appoint a Hydrocarbon Mechanic at our Bulyanhulu Gold Mine operations to join and work within the Engineering & Maintenance Department.
KEY RESULT AREAS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Perform Field Level Risk Assessment (FLRA’s)
• Identify and analyse premature tyre/rim component failure utilizing root cause/tap root analysis
• Provide appropriate on the job training and mentoring to less experienced personnel
• Complete required diagnostic and safety checks on tyres/components as required
• Ensure adherence to all safety, health and environmental procedures and guidelines
• Demonstrate by example a high level of general housekeeping and environmental awareness with an emphasis on hydrocarbon disposal and management: clean spill as soon as possible, pump out all bonded areas into waste oil drums for disposal, and waste oil to be sent to waste oil facility
• Implementation and execution of other duties and instructions as instructed by the Supervisor
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS, WORK KNOWLEDGE & EXPOSURE
• Completion of a structured, recognized mechanical apprenticeship
• A mechanical Trade Certificate from a recognized and authorized body (FTC)
• Experience as a Mobile Maintenance artisan, in a production industry environment
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Offices Suite)
• Experience of underground mobile mining equipment & operations
• Minimum of five (5) years pots apprentice experience.
