Plan Tanzania works with 30,000 sponsored children their families and their communities implementing programmes at grassroots level in health, education, water and sanitation, income generation and building relationship across cultures.

1. EDUCATION SPECIALIST (1 POSITION) – DSM.
Job Education Specialist is a member of Plan Tanzania Program Team and of the Extended Country Management Team (ECMT). She/ he reports to and works under the direct supervision of the Program Support Manager. The Education Specialist assumes leadership in technically supporting the implementation of the Country Strategic Plan (CSP) and in particular the Country Program (CP) related to education/ Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD). Further, the Education Specialist is:
Responsible for developing a technically sound concepts, proposals, training materials related with education interventions with synergy to other Cps;
The key resource person for developing Education/ ECCD program interventions, designing Education/ECCD materials and developing monitoring tools for the project.
Responsible for supporting the developing technical capacity of staff and partner organizations on various educational programs including ECCD.
Qualifications, experience and traits;
A Bachelors Degree in Education A Masters Degree is an advantage
At least 5 years technical advisory experience in the design, implementation, evaluation and research of major educational programs.
Knowledge of and skills in ECCD with proven record of substantial experience in this area, Specialized training in ECCD is advantage.
At least 3 years experience working INGOs preferably child centered development organizations
Familiarity with policies and education program in Tanzania
Abilities in planning, budgeting and management
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people from diverse cultures, ability to lead and motivate people and to work in teams.
Willingness to undertake substantial travel and mission throughout Tanzania, regionally and globally (at least 25% time).

3. DRIVER (1 POSITION) – MWANZA
Good communication, interpersonal and computer skills
Class C drivers license and a certificate from National Institute Of Transport (a must
Advanced or Ordinary level certificate
A minimum of 3 years of experience in vehicle maintenance and driving.
CHILD PROTECTION
