1. PLANNING OFFICER (One Post)
Qualifications and Experience.
Holder of a Masters Degree in Economics or Educational Planning or any other relevant qualification with an extensive working experience in the field of Planning in Private or Public institutions. Knowledge in information Computer Technology and experience in working with education-based institutions will be an added advantage.
Essential duties and responsibilities.
Liaises with government through the Ministry which is for the time being responsible for Education, and also with government institutions under the ministry for issues concerning University education planning and development.
Provides technical advice on all planning and development undertakings at the University
Ensures that Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reports are prepared and acted upon by the Management.
Assists in the formulation, implementation and co-ordination of University Plans and Strategies based upon priorities for resources allocation.
Co-ordinates the preparation of recurrent and capital development budgets and prepares mid-term cost adjustments.
Participates in reviewing the Strategic Plan of the University, evaluates reports on the performance of plans and assist in setting expansion targets including physical infrastructure.
Ensures efficiency and effectiveness of operational plans and takes remedial actions.
Reviews constantly every aspect of the Universities activities in order to ensure that opportunities to add value and enhance the University’s identity and credibility are sensed and implemented.
Performs any other duties as may be assigned to him/her by the Deputy Provost for Administration.
3. HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER (One Post)
Qualifications and Experience
Holder of a Masters Degree in the field of Human Resources Management or Public Administration or any other relevant qualification. He/she should have expensive working experience in the above areas. Those with a basic degree in the above areas from a recognized University or institution may apply if they have a recognized practice and experience in HRM.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Assists and advices management in the development andmodification of the best human resources policies and procedures.
Develops effective policies and procedures for hiring, training, deployment, development and retention of high quality manpower.
Prepares long and short term human resource training and relooking programs
Monitors decentralized human resources actions such as performance appraisal, promotions, annual increments, merit increases, internal transfers and termination of services and provide advice and other assistance as required to achieve equitable treatment of employees and consistency in the application of the University’s Human Resource Policies.
Develops and administer periodic performance and salary reviews.
Plans, develops and directs the administration of Schemes of Service, Staff regulations and staff benefit programmers in order to ensure maintenance of integrity of the Schemes of Service and procedures.
Develops effective policies and procedures for hiring, training, deployment, development and retention of high quality manpower.

Deals with staff welfare matters such as sports and games, canteens, burial services and any other welfare matters required for members of staff.
Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time to him/her by the Deputy Provost for Administration from time to time.
4. INTERNAL AUDITOR (One Post) Qualifications and Experience.
Holder of a full professional Accounting qualifications like CPA (T), ACCA, ACA, and ICMA, or any other relevant qualification in the field of Auditing which is recognized by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA)
Essential duties and responsibilities
Ensures that all Faculties, directorates, institutes, and Units of the University adhere to financial procedures and comply with the University financial standards and prevailing limits of authorization of finances.
Prepares an Annual Audit Plan and develops a comprehensive practical schedule for audit coverage.
Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of managementfinancial controls.
Assesses auditable units using the criteria developed by the annual audit plan
Ascertains the adequacy and effectiveness of financial information system, Policies, Plans and Procedures and evaluates the adequacy of Management financial control.
Assists in reviewing all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
Drafts Audit Report for executed audit programmes scrutinizes and advises on the recommendations by External Auditors of the University.
Follows-up on previous internal audit observations
Maintains a regular check on the accuracy of the accounting systems and ensures that standards, practices and procedures are observed within the University.
Gives advice to the University Management on the updates or changes of financial policies/regulations/procedures/and change in financial manuals
Performs any other duties as may be assigned to him or her by the Provost from time to time.

They should also have a strong track record of project/activities Cycle Management.
