Universities in North Carolina founded RTI in 1958 as the first scientific organization in and centerpiece of the Research Triangle Park. We are seeking to recruit various seasonal district & sector positions for the Rwanda Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) project in Gasabo, Nyagatare, Kicukiro, Nyanza, Bugesera, Kiretie, and Nyarugenge districts as part of a large regional support program funded by the US Presidents Malaria Initiative (PMI) through USAID. These positions will be based at various district locations in Rwanda.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Responsible to the IEC Coordinator
- Assist in promoting the IRS programme in the community,
- Assist in coordinating District IEC and public relation activities.
- Assist organize district level mobilization campaign for IRS activities In collaboration with district health officials.
- Assist coordinate training session for community mobilizers.
- Assist to supervise and monitor Mobilization and IRS interventions in the held Including training
- Assist coordinate to mobilize communities through organizing workshops with the local and traditional leaders to educate them on Malaria and IRS interventions
- Document all mobilization activities and share results with the IRS team
- To assist coordinate the translation of all the 'EC materials in the local languages
Qualifications
- A Bachelors degree in social science. Public Health, or a related field.
- At least years of experience in handling IPC issues at community level with an established organization Should have at least 1.5 years of supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to travel to difficult locations and meet with communities
- Good communication skills including spoken and written English, knowledge of Kinyarwanda is compulsory. Ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness and flexibility to work long hours
- Computer skills (Excel and Microsoft Word)
