In Morogoro Swisscontact implements the Taka-Ni-Mali Project, a solid waste management project in cooperation with Morogoro Municipal Council. To support our Morogoro – “Taka Ni Mali” - team, we are looking for dedicated and motivated individuals preferably in environmental groups and clubs in academic institution to participate in waste sorting and general environmental awareness campaigns

Key Responsibilities
Volunteers will provide assistance to the Taka-Ni-Mali team and Morogoro municipal health officers with Community Based Organisations and recycling industries in promotion of waste sorting at household level. In close cooperation with Health officers and TnM team the volunteers will participate in public and door to door awareness events on the importance of waste separation and other environmental/Solid waste management issues including policies. All volunteers will work under supervision of the Taka ni Mali Project Assistant.
Qualification and Experience
We are looking for an innovative and motivated Tanzanian or non-Tanzanians (in groups or individuals) who is interested in learning and helping the community through providing them with education on how they can properly manage household waste. He/she should have strong communication skills. Experience in environmental /solid waste in desired but not must.
What we offer
This is not a paid Job.
Swisscontact will offer meal and transport allowance for the volunteers whenever they participate in awareness event.
Certificates of appreciation will be offered.
