Position Description:

Upendo Honey (a subsidiary of QP Group Tanzania Limited) is a vertically integrated Honey company based in Kigoma, Tanzania.

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our company.

Role Description:

The Financial Manager will analyse every day financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans in order to enable them to make sound business decision and meet the company’s objectives. As well as assist in record keeping and preparation of financial documents

Requirements:

Strong skills in Excel, Word, Outlook and other MS Office applications.

Ability to use accounting software packages (previous experience in Gnu Cash is a bonus).

Strong understanding of Tanzania corporate tax laws and requirements.

Ability to move to Kigoma town.

Fluency in English.

Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities:

Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.

Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.

Maintain the financial health of the organisation.

Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.

Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances.

Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.

Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.

Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.

Prepare tax return statements.

Manage account record keeping.

Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.

Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
