UMATI, a member of International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), is a leading non-profit Association providing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Information and services in Tanzania including Family Planning and HIV/AIDS.
The Association has a long history of leadership in SRH program in the country including pioneering in Family planning (FP) services, SRHR programs for young people, integrated clinic and Community based service delivery approaches. Accredited by IPPF In 2011 UMATI is governed by a well established volunteer structure.
UMATI vision envisages a healthy Tanzanian society where all people, especially the young, exercise their rights to, and enjoy quality sexual and reproductive health, information and services and have the confidence and capacities to make a meaningful contribution to sustainable livelihoods. To meet this vision, UMATI is dedicated to improving the quality of life of all people, particularly the young through its programs, targeting youth aged from 10 to 24 years.
UMATI believes in and advocates for the right to informed choice for all and strives to ensure that the community has access to information and high-quality SRH services. With its national coverage, providing services in urban and rural communities, UMATI has a network of Clinics, Youth Centers and a large number of about 1,500 Community Based Service Providers (CBSPs)and a very close working relationship with the Government, Development partners, NGOs and the Communities.

Youth Centre Coordinator
2.1 Reporting to National Youth Coordinator
2.2 Location: Dar as Salaam

2.3 Job Purpose:
Reporting to the National Youth Coordinator, the Youth Centre Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining effective arid meaningful youth participation mechanisms that provides opportunities for young people to have a voice on youth issues and affairs. Slhe will be responsible in developing links and fostering partnerships that encourage co-operation and coordination that improve outcomes and support young people's involvement and participation in the life of the community.

2.4 Responsibilities:
• Research and develop programs for youth and ensure that youth and youth Qrganizations are aware of available activities
• Assess the program requirements of youth in the community and strengthen YAM structure by establishing youth clubs
• Counseling young people to address their behaviors
• Communicate with youth/organizations that represent youth to determine their needs and interests
• Research funding sources and project requirements, prepare funding proposals and access funding
• Ensure a variety of sport, recreation, cu"ural and other programs are planned and implemented in alignment with UMATI APBlProject plans and proposals.
• Coordinate a community relations campaign to promote youth programs
• Maintain contacts with respective partners (including MoHSW, NGOs, CBOs, FBO and Youth Groups) for advocacy and promotion of Adolescent Sexual
and Reproductive Health and Rights J
• Record information on and prepare reports concerning youth programs, costs, numbers of partiCipants and equipment and facility use
Provide periodic reports about youth programs and opportunities
• Ensure that all programs and activities are implemented as per UMATI Values and according to relevant legislation, policies and procedures
• Perform other related duties as required

2.5 QuallficationslExperience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Community DevelopmenVSocial Work, or Education.
At least three (3) years experience working with the Youth, (Volunteering or mentoring management desirable)
2.6 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledgeable of the legislation, regulations, ~icies and procedures for Youth program development and implementation
Ability to administer youth programs and team building skills Effective verbal presentation and listening communications skills Effective negotiation, mediation and counseling skills
Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity
• Proficient in computer packages such as Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Graphics and Website development
Stress management skills
• Flexible with Time management skills
