The Institute of Rural Development Planning was established as a Corporate Body under the Act of Parliament no. 8 of 1980 as a Higher Learning Institute providing Advanced Training, Research and Consultancy services in the fields of Rural Development Planning. The Institute is accredited by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE).
17.1 SENIOR LECTURER (ECONOMICS/ DEVELOPMENT ECONOMICS/ ENVIRONMENTAL ECONOMICS/ AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS) – (1 POST) RE-ADVERTISED.
17.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Teach formal courses,
• Undertake individual research and participating in bigger multi-disciplinary research projects,
• Prepare manuals, simulations and case studies for training,
• Provide close supervision and guidance to students,
• Work on consultancy projects and
• Coach junior teaching staff.
17.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• PhD holders who have had at least three (3) years experience in teaching at a similar institution and have published at least three (3) papers in recognized journals, a book or three chapters in a book in relevant field.
17.1.3 REMUNERATION

17.2 ASSISTANT LECTURERS - (3 POSTS)

17.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct lecturer up to NTA level 8 (i.e. Bachelor Degree),
• Prepare learning resources/materials for tutorials,
• Conduct research seminars and case studies,
• Carry out consultancy and community service,
• Supervise student projects and
• Prepare training manuals.
17.2.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Master’s Degree in relevant field.
• Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in relevant field with minimum GPA of 3.5 for both Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma
• Experience of teaching in higher learning institutions will be an added advantage.
17.2.3 REMUNERATION

17.3 TUTORIAL ASSISTANT IN DEVELOPMENT FINANCE & INVESTMENT PLANNING - (1 POST)
17.3.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Teaching up to NTA level 6 (i.e. Ordinary Diploma)
• Assist to conduct of tutorial and practical exercises
• Prepare learning resources/materials for tutorials
• Assist to conduct research
• Assist to conduct consultancy and community services
17.3.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor Degree in Development Finance and Investment Planning with minimum GPA of 3.5.
17.3.3 REMUNERATION

17.4 SECURITY GUARD II - 1 POST
28.6.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Verification of incoming and outgoing properties and goods as per authorized gate pass.
• Ensure safety and legal of all properties into the Institute’s premises.
• Ensure day and night security of buildings and properties of the Institute.
• Make sure that all door and windows are properly closed after working hours.
• Report on catastrophic incidents such fire, floods, theft etc. To the relevant state organs like police and fire brigade.
• Advice on appropriate means of improving security within the Institute.
• Maintain peace and order;
• Ensure property of Institute is in safe custody;
• Supervise watchmen on day to day activities;
• Perform any other assigned duty by his/her supervisor.
17.4.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• form IV certificate, with basic militia training. JKT/fire brigade certificate from recognized Institution.
17.4.3 REMUNERATION
