The Institute of Accountancy Arusha is a parastatal academic institution established by the Institute of Accountancy Act No.1 of 1990. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate training courses. The Institute envisions becoming an exemplary centre of excellence in modern business management training, research and consultancy services. It endeavours to provide high quality, competence-based training and offer research and consultancy services through applied technology.
24.1 SENIOR LECTURER – QUANTITATIVE METHODS – (1 POST) RE-ADVERTISED
24.1.1 REPORTS TO THE HEAD OF DEPARTMENT – POSTGRADUATE
STUDIES
24.1.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Teach students up to NTA level 9 (Masters Degree).
• Guide and supervise students in building up their practical and research projects.
• Prepare learning resources and design training exercises for students.
• Conduct consultancy and community services.
• Undertake individual research and participates in scientific/academic congregations.
• Supervise and guide post-graduate students.
• Prepare teaching manuals simulations and case studies for training.
• Coach junior teaching staff.
• Assume managerial leadership roles e.g. coordinate academic programmes or major research projects and consultancy.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors
24.1.3 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree with at least three years at Lecturer Level plus
three peer reviewed publications
• OR Masters degree with at least three years at Lecturer Level plus five peer
reviewed publications OR A registered professional with at least 20 years
working experience preferably in Research or Consultancy with Masters
degree in relevant field 10 consultancy/research reports of the academic
and professional appreciable depth OR A registered professional with at
least 10 years working experience preferably in Research or Consultancy
with Doctoral degree in relevant field 5 consultancy/research reports of the
academic and professional appreciable depth.
• She / he must have attained a B+ (GPA of 4.0/5.0) at Masters Degree and a minimum GPA of 3.8/5.0 in the Bachelor’s degree.
• Must have a maximum age of 45 years.

24.2 ASSISTANT LECTURER – (2 POSTS ) RE-ADVERTISED
• INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS – 1 POST
• STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT – 1 POST
24.2.1 REPORTS TO THE HEAD OF DEPARTMENT – UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES
24.2.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Teaches up to NTA level 8 for Master’s Degree holders and up to NTA level 9 for PhD holders.
• Guide and supervise students in building up their practical and research projects.
• Prepare learning resources and design training exercises for students.
• Conduct consultancy and community services
• Develop and review existing curriculum.
• Undertake individual research and participates in scientific/academic congregations.
• Prepare teaching manuals, simulations and case studies for training.
• Coach junior teaching staff.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
24.2.3 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Master’s degree in relevant field.
• She / he must have attained a B+ (GPA of 4.0/5.0) at Masters Degree and a minimum GPA of 3.8/5.0 in the Bachelor’s degree.
24.2.4 REMUNERATION
• Attractive remuneration package in accordance with the Institution’s salary
