The International Trade Centre (ITC) is seeking a Chief for its Office for Africa who will lead and coordinate ITC’s contribution in trade-related technical assistance (TRTA) in the African region. The Chief provides the strategic direction for the Office and develops projects and programmes in response to country and regional trade-development needs. The Chief builds relations with key partners in the private sector, national governments and regional organizations, and collaborates with donors and other international partners.
We are looking for a candidate with hands-on experience in trade-related technical assistance in Africa. The candidate will have strong skills in programme development, management and fundraising. The candidate will also possess effective communication and networking skills, particularly in relation to ITC’s stakeholders.
ITC assists developing countries and transition economies in identifying and taking advantage of export opportunities leading to economic growth, job creation and opportunities for entrepreneurs, and related poverty reduction.
