You will make an important contribution to the development of this global network of stakeholders, assisting the secretariat in promoting the goals and objectives of the Child and Youth Finance International movement with a specific focus on children and youth. The internship takes place at the Child and Youth Finance International Secretariat in Amsterdam, where the intern will work as a member of the team. The internship is preferably full time (with vacation leave and sick leave according to Dutch standards) but part-time internships are also possible. The intern will be coordinating all children and youth outreach efforts for the Secretariat.
Responsibilities
• Coordination of website for reaching out to children and youth
• Contacting schools around the globe encouraging them to involve their students in financial education and access to services
• Collecting and sorting stories of children and youth good savings practices and education from the field
• Profiling outstanding students in the network
• Contributing to the production of Child and Youth Finance International reports, publications and promotional materials
• Preparing the youth awards for our annual summit in 2013
• Assisting in the development and coordination of the youth summit in 2013
• Coordination of website for reaching out to children and youth

Ideally we are looking for a student intern that fits these criteria:
• Availability of at least 3 -6 months.
• The completion (or near completion) of a graduate or undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, political science, international development or other relevant field.
• Working experience in an international organization or children or youth based organization is a strong asset.
• Fluency in English. Knowledge of Russian, French Spanish, Arabic, and Japanese (depending on the region of expertise) is of key importance.
• Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability and willingness to operate on a multicultural team.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• An entrepreneurial, creative, flexible and proactive person.
