Child and Youth Finance International Volunteer

We at Child and Youth Finance International want the same and are currently looking for volunteers to help us in our mission to diminish child poverty and debt. As a volunteer you will be assisting with administrative work around the office and ultimately in our goal of reaching 100 million children in 100 countries by 2015!

Child and Youth Finance International is dedicated to increasing financial inclusion and financial education for children and youth across the world. By financial inclusion, we mean the abilities and opportunities for children to own and operate a bank account, have a say in how financial institutions reach out to them and be able to understand the basics of money and finances. We believe that this is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty, since an individual who can - from an early age - understand resources, saving and budgeting, can stay out of debt and be less likely to be financially exploited.

The organisation is young, yet within this past year we have organised an annual conference with 346 participants from 80 countries (+70 child & youth participants from 40 countries) involving policy makers, politicians, CEO's of private sector businesses/banks, academic actors, and other NGO's. The movement and Child and Youth Finance International has also been mentioned in the June 2012 G20 meeting in Mexico and publicly recognised by UN General Secretary Ban Ki Moon as a world cause. We are working with a large network of some of the world biggest policy makers, financial institutions, child's rights experts and many more to reach our goal.

The organisation has a truly global reach and works internationally on all continents and volunteers are always needed. Our office is a dynamic international work environment and as a volunteer your ideas and opinions are always valued. You will be assisting us around the office and ultimately contributing to a world with less poverty and debt.
