Sales Engineer Aggreko International Power Projects - Tanzania

Purpose of the Job

To achieve monthly and annual sales revenue targets for the full range of Aggreko products and services in the relevant territory – Tanzania.

Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities

• Servicing of existing customer base and maintaining good working relations.
• Development of new customers and new applications for existing customers.
• Identification of new opportunities and new applications within the assigned geographical territory.
• Promote all Aggreko products and services at all times.
• Completion and submission of daily call reports and weekly call plans.
• Presentation of new products to existing and new customers.
• Generation of enquiries from customers.
• Receiving enquiries, quoting for the work, negotiating contracts and securing orders.
• Secure orders with credit terms approved by agent.
• Adhere to Aggreko ISO & QHSE policy and procedures.
• Promote safe working practices at all times.
• Assist in collection of receivables.
• Liaise and deal directly with clients at all levels.
• Assist with submission of territory competitor review.
• Assist with completion of asset verifications and stocks checks when required.
• Assist with the completion of monthly ISO & QHSE data compilation.
• Maintain company confidentiality with sensitive information.
• Be able to ‘troubleshoot’ at installations on customer sites.

Desired Skills & Experience

Person Specification/Job Requirements

• Experience in selling or renting power generation equipment and or industrial HVAC equipment.
• Local market knowledge.
• Advanced diploma or equivalent in a relevant field
• 5-7 years experience in a previous selling related role – preferably in the energy sector

Company Description

Aggreko plc is the world leader in the supply of temporary power and temperature control solutions.

Aggreko provides power and temperature control solutions to customers who need them either very quickly, or for a short or indeterminate length of time. Examples would be the supply of power to an industrial site which needs to service its permanent power supply, supplying a whole city in times of power shortage, or providing a major sporting event with power and cooling systems. We serve our customers either through our 165 service centres, which we call the Local Business, or globally through our International Power Projects business.

In the Local business, which accounts for about half of our revenues, we hire our equipment to customers, who then operate it for themselves, although we retain responsibility for servicing and maintaining it.

In the International Power Projects business, which also accounts for about half of our revenues, we operate as a power producer. We install and operate power plants and we charge our customers both for providing the generating capacity, and for the electricity we produce. We design and manufacture equipment specifically for these requirements in our factory in Dumbarton, Scotland.

We employ over 4,500 people operating from 165 locations and in 2011 we served customers in about 100 countries.
