TITLE : Monitoring and Reporting Office(Food Security and Livelihood Sector

DURATION :  1Year (possible Extension )

   LOCATION : Khartoum with frequent within – country travel

BACKGROUND

Sudan Common Humanitarian Fund (CHF ) is a multi – donor pooled funding mechanism to support the timely allocation and disbursement of donor resources to the most urgent humanitarian needs and critical gaps in Sudan under the direction of Humanitarian (HC)

In 2013 the Sudan CHF will further strengthen its monitoring and reporting capacity with an aim to increase accountability and more effectively manage resources channeled through the Fund , The CHF Sudan monitoring efforts will remain  guided four major objectives : to (1) verify reported results at the project level , (2) inform decision , (3) provide evidence of CHF contributions to sector outcomes and , at a later stage , CHF impact , and (4) to provide technical support to partners during project implementation  .

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITTIES

Under the overall general supervision of the FAO  Representative in the Sudan and the direct supervision and guidance  of the Senior Emergency , Coordinator in close collaboration with the CHF Monitoring Team Lead , the incumbent is expected to perform the following tasks :

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT

 Applications are normally not considered from candidates who do not possess ALL of the Essential Qualifications

Education :  Mater Degree in a Rural Development related field (Agriculture

                    Animal Husbandry Agricultural Agricultural Economics etc)

                   With relevant field experience and with training and hands – on

                   Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation

Experience : Minimum 7 years of relevant progressively responsible

                        Experience in humanitarian affairs emergency preparedness ,

        Crisis / emergency relief management or other related area ,

                            Preferably with at least two with a UN organization or an

                            NGO and a solid monitoring reporting and evaluation

                           Experience

Other  :     proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic ;   Computer

                  /literate with skills in Windows and MS Word , Excel and Outlook

                    Proven track – record of good drafting and report writing skills
