Upon mutual agreemen and availability of funding for the job .
Salary : 5,500 SDG
Purpose of the Post
To support the Country Director in making an impact through Muslim Aid s relief and development programmes in Sudan by ensuring effective operations management and contributing to the longer – term organizational strategy and capability .
- Main Responsibilities
- Coordination of plans and programme
Management
- Responsible for the overall development of the Country Pbrogramme Approach / framework , including operational and strategic guidelines , manuals , issue papers on programme work
- Traking progress towards Country programme Strategic Objectives and mid – course corrections .
- Assist the team in the development of the Country Strategy lead the process of implementation of the Country Strategy
- Coordinate with other Unit Heads the planning monitoring and evaluation of he country and annual plans using strategic contribution indicators and other review tools / process , and report to the Country Director at pre – determined intervals
- Coordinate the implementation of annual plans of programme ,units towards the fulfillment of set programme objectives
- Stakeholder Relationships
- Participate and Coordinate the outcomes of sector reviews and / or thematic research and provide feedback in different ways to various stakeholders , and also loop this into the preparations of ensuing programming cycles .
- Working with the CD to provide guidelines and support to strengthen relationships with partner organizations , NGOs , government agencies , donors bilateral and multilateral agencies within the various relief and development sectors of Muslim Aid work in Sudan .
3 . Human Resources Management
- Line – manage other senior programme staff below his/ her rank and conduct regular staff appraisal and report to the CD
- Contribute to the development and integration of tools for improving the day – to – day management practices in the organization
- Financial Management
- As part of the Budget Management Committee , support other managers in the preparation of annual fiscal plans and undertake regular financial analysis to inform the management of relevant budgets following the procedure laid down in the Accounts Manual
- Ensure individual programme budgets are kept within budget and that purogramme expenditure remain s within the annual budget allocation
- Learning Responsibilities :
- Contribute to organizational learning and provide the requisite leadership on learning at all levels ; prongramme offices , partner organizations and the sector .
- Identify issues for learning in consultation with the CD and assist Programmes Team members to document and analyze relevant information emanating from best practice into useful learning products
- Management information and reporting
- Supervise the preparation and review of guidelines to ensure timely and accurate reports , and to enhance the quality of reports on all programmes
- Coordinate feedback on all reports received for .improving proigramme / project outcomes and for building internal capacity
- Any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post .
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level in a development – related subject
Experience
- Experience in policy development
- 4 years of experience in line management
- Experience in developing staff .
- A previous experience in participatory methods of planning implementation monitoring and evaluation approaches in development work
- Experience in NGO sector
