We are seeking an experience in-house lawyer to join us in an exciting new role as the Director of Legal and Contracts based in our London support office.
In joining us, day-to-day you will:
• provide leadership to the corporate legal and contracts functions
• lead our legal provision to ensure the protection of the business against legal risks, establishing appropriate corporate governance structures and decision making frameworks
• lead on our donor contracts and grants provision to ensure the successful negotiation of donor contracts and grants, and organisational compliance with donor requirements and regulations
• provide high level, strategic advice and support on legal, risk and compliance issues, including the management of high value or difficult contract issues, governance, risk and ad-hoc litigation issues.
In order to be considered for the role you will ideally have experience of working in-house i n the commerical and charity sector, bringing with you the experience of working in a commercial environment and the knowledge of charity law and the dynamics of dealing with international donors and donor contracts.
You will be working across a range of jurisdictions including instructing overseas counsel, together with experience with the funding mechanisms and contractual obligations of a broad array of institutional donors together with significant people management skills.
