IFC manages the Investment Climate Advisory Services of the World Bank Group, which offers client governments a wide range of services. In Sub-Saharan Africa, the team focuses on supporting reforms that strengthen business environments and the investment climate across the economy and within industries and sectors. Building on the World Bank Group's global expertise, we design and deliver advisory services and execute programs that encourage investment climate reform. To further improve the investment climate in Sub-Saharan Africa, IFC recruits Investment Climate Specialists with experience in investment climate reform, policies and regulations, and specific expertise in business law, regional/national investment policy, business taxation, and trade logistics to manage IFC’s Advisory Services programs. Candidates are expected to have an advanced university degree equivalent to a Master’s degree (i.e. economics, legal, business administration, finance, program management) and 5+ years’ experience in an area directly linked to investment climate, including several years of expertise related to one of the above positions; at the Senior level, candidates are expected to have 10+ years of relevant experience. All candidates will demonstrate strong knowledge of economics and legal and regulatory structures in Sub-Saharan Africa, the capacity to work with high level governmental and private sector stakeholders andpartners, and across geographical and functional borders.
