The WORKSHOP OPERATIONS MANAGER is responsible to assist the Site Manager with the daily operations of the Workshop/Site. The WORKSHOP OPERATIONS MANAGER should ensure that all resources are utilized effectively and efficiently and that all company policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to.
Responsibilities
· Assists the Site Manager with tasks that will ensure the efficient daily operations of the Workshop/Site.
· Assists the Site Manager to ensure the optimization of human resources through the design and implementation of necessary processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
· Maintains a thorough knowledge of AMS QC, Parts and Administration policies.
· Maintains a thorough knowledge of AMS QC, Parts, and Administration systems and assists with its implementation.
· Responsible to assist with the Administrative duties of the site. This includes, but is not limited to the regular monitoring of existing systems and the design and implementation of processes to improve the service/systems.
· Ensures that all paper-based and computerized system information processes are setup and maintained to provide the most efficient and effective administrative system possible.
· Maintains a balanced parts inventory consistent with the requirements of the site.
· Ensures the accurate record of the site’s parts inventory on company systems, such as, but not limited to, SCMS, Helios, etc.
· Ensures the successful implementation of a Quality Control Program to ensure adherence to the following plans and associated SOPs: HEALTH AND SAFETY, HAZMAT CONTROL, QUALITY CONTROL and TRAINING.
· Ensures adequate corrective measures are implemented in cases of non-compliance to AMS QC policies and procedures and QC contractual requirements.
· Ensure that all QC, Parts and Admin concerns are well-addressed to keep a harmonious working relationship both with the employees and immediate superiors.
· Ensures a clean and orderly workshop to promote a safe working environment.
· Ensures that all QC, Parts, and Admin departments have adequate technical support and training to help achieve outstanding customer service and operational excellence.
· Acts as relief for QC, Parts and Admin Managers and is therefore responsible to full all tasks and responsibilities normally associated with these positions.
· Ensures the on-time, accurate preparation, submission and distribution of reports as required.
· Reports to the Site Manager on the daily accomplishments and activities of the designated site.

· Possess an appropriate and relevant qualification (degree or diploma) from a recognized institution majoring in one or more of the following fields of study: Financial Management, Business Administration, Business Management, IT Management
· At least 5 years experience in a general management / business administration / IT support role.
· Experience in automotive industry would be advantageous
· Possess a mature and conscientious approach to work.
· High level of computer literacy is required.
· Proven leadership skills in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.
· Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) are essential.
· Be in possession of a clean criminal record and credit record.
· Be in possession of a valid passport.
· Be prepared to travel and work in post conflict environments.
