Mission Talent Recruitment has been tasked by World Vision with providing an exclusive search for the position of a Director: People and Culture WV (South Africa).
Purpose of Position
To provide leadership and coordination in the design and implementation of WVSA P & C strategy, systems, policies and procedures which support the accomplishment of WVSA program goals. Tasks & Responsibilities
To provide leadership and coordination in the design and implementation of WVSA P & C strategies, systems, policies and procedures which support the accomplishment of WVSA program goals. To ensure that P & C systems, infrastructure and service delivery model support the strategic directions of WVSA. Develop, implement and manage a strategic resourcing plan that addresses the specific recruitment requirements of WVSA. The plan will include, inter alia, the identification and active pursuit of high caliber individuals both external and internal, attracting them to, developing and retaining them in the organization. Act as advisor to the National Director on issues impacting WVSA, with an understanding and particular focus on how P & C issues impact the national Office, ADP’s, its individual units and strategic directions. In consultation with the WVSA Senior Management Team, identify and execute P & C performance drivers, which can be managed and measured as part of the WVSA management process. Provide leadership and implementation oversight to the WVSA change management process, working with the National Director and (SMT) P&C Southern Africa Director. Establish a succession planning and executive development process, whereby key, high value (i.e.: difficult to replace) positions are identified and succession and development plans are instituted. Develop P & C capacity in by ensuring the institution of sound human resources policies, procedures and practices, including salary administration, employee benefits, recruitment, orientation, employee relations, staff development, team building and occupational stress management. Build strong ties and lasting working relationships with other key P & C stakeholders throughout P & C Partnership, including the P & C Directors and GRRT, and GC P&C. Serve on the WVSA P&C Committee, by preparing all documents which require the attention of the committee for submission to the board and also represent P&C in the board meetings reporting to the Chairperson of the P&C Committee. To act as a strategic partner and enabler of the National Office in P&C matters.

Qualifications, Capabilities/Skills and Experience
Masters in Human Resources, Psychology, Labour Law or related field. More than 3 years in leadership role. Minimum of 7 years in related field Computer skills Good understanding and Knowledge of Labour Relations Good planning and organizational skills Tact and diplomacy in dealing with staff-related issues Ability to maintain effective working relationships with at all levels.
