Director of Finance and Administration, USAID Feed the Future Monitoring & Evaluation Project, Washington, D.C.
Project Summary:
The purpose of the four-year, $50 million project will be to design and manage a comprehensive system to gather and analyze data that informs USAID’s Feed the Future (FtF) program through impact evaluation, performance monitoring, and knowledge sharing. This monitoring and evaluation project will cover USAID FtF activities worldwide. The Feed the Future initiative is a Presidential Initiative that seeks to improve nutrition and increase agricultural productivity in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Position Summary:
MSI is seeking an experienced Director of Finance and Administration to oversee all aspects of project financial management, and work closely with the Chief of Party on project implementation and reporting. S/he will also be responsible for USAID financial reporting and compliance issues. This is a long-term position, based in Washington, D.C. The project is expected to begin in late 2011.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee project financial management, including budget preparation and tracking, procurement, and any sub-contracts); • Establish a financial system and set of protocols that enable transparency, accountability and accuracy; • Responsible for all project financial reporting, both to USAID and MSI HQ; • Monitor financial activities and keep the Chief of Party informed of the status and potential issues; • Work closely with both the field and home office project and finance staff.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience managing finance for USAID funded programs; • Substantial experience with USAID funded contracts strongly preferred; • In depth knowledge of USAID regulations. • Current US work authorization required.
