Accounts Receivable Assistant The School of St Jude
The School of St Jude is a charity funded school that provides a quality FREE education to approximately 1,500 primary and secondary children from the poorest communities in Arusha. Additionally, the school now provides employment to over 340 Tanzanians and purchases the essential goods required to run the school everyday from local people. The ripple effect is incredibly wide spread.
We are seeking an individual to join our Accounts Receivable Team based in Arusha, Tanzania at The School of St Jude. The Accounts team is responsible for providing customer service and administrative assistance towards Accounts Receivable, and process payments received as part of the Accounts Receivable team.
The successful applicants will be required to join the team by early 2012.
Key Responsibilities:
•High volume data entry
•Interpret data to maintain accurate due dates for sponsorship
•Maintain accurate information in the Business Sponsorship Database
•Electronic communication with sponsors and donors to allocate payments
•Follow up on overdue payments
•Send sponsorship renewal notices
•Other duties as requested by Accounts Coordinator
Requirements and Skills:
•Exceptional attention to detail particular with regards to data entry
•Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
•Strong oral and written communication skills
•Previous professional administrative experience in accounts/customer service
Desirables:
•Previous experience working/volunteering in Tanzania or working in a developing country

•Have good emotional and physical health and the energy and drive to take on new challenges
•A minimum commitment of 12 months is expected.
Stipend:
