The Mobilization Support Unit sits within the International Mobilization Programme which, along with other programmes in the cluster, provides strategic leadership and capacity building to Amnesty International entities for the delivery of growth strategies in people, money, activism and diversity. As the MSU Assistant you will provide administrative and organizational support to staff within the unit. This will include managing the diary and schedule of the deputy programme director.
You will work in conjunction with the Programme Assistant to ensure that effective administration support is provided to the IMP. You will be required to organize and co-ordinate meetings, prepare draft documents and responses, manage incoming mail, phone calls, enquiries and e-mails.
About you
You will have proven experience and skills in managing and administering an office environment; preparing draft and proofing responses, documents and reports, budget monitoring and record keeping and minuting meetings. You will have excellent word processing and spreadsheet skills. This is a full time post that requires extensive interaction with people from different parts of the world who may or may not speak English. Essential criteria for this role includes; exceptional interpersonal communication skills, familiarity with working in a culturally diverse/international environment, relevant knowledge and exposure to human rights issues. Multilingual skills will be an advantage.
