Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) is a non-for profit research and training institute whose mission is to develop and sustain a district-based health research capable of generating new knowledge and relevant information for public health policy and actions.
IHI is looking for well experienced field workers to make interviews in various regions of Tanzania. Candidates who have experience in this area of work will be give priority.
FIELD WORKERS
Work station: Dar es Salaam (40 Posts)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interview people in earmarked areas under study
Inter data collected using PDA and paper
Follow Standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocol of the project
Any other duty which may be assigned by the supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIANCE
Ordinary secondary education and above
Experience in field of research work
Ability to communicate in English and Kiswahili
A computer skill is an added advantage
Certificate/Diploma in social/community development or related field will be an added advantage
DESIRED QUALITIES
Willingness to work flexible hours.
Good team work ability to work well with members of the public
Be able to travel extensively with long hour on the way
May be required to work evenings or weekends
Commitment to excellence in research
REMUNERATION
Attractive and competitive fee per day will be provided
