Victoria University, Kampala is a new university with an ambitious and rapid growth strategy. The business model is based on bringing western standards of good practice and British qualifications to East Africa. The University received its operating licence in December 2010. The Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences offers undergraduate programmes in Nursing Science and in Public Health. Development plans include the introduction of postgraduate programmes in 2012 and further degrees in health related subjects such as physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Many programmes will be developed in partnership with a major British university. The Faculty is supported b y a well equipped Skills Lab and clinical practice arrangements with Mulago Teaching Hospital in Kampala.
Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant subject, international credibility and substantial academic management experience: exceptionally candidates with impressive professional backgrounds will be considered for appointment.
The remuneration consists of annual gross salary of US$ 78,000 plus housing, transport, medical cover, phone allowance and two return tickets per year.
