Victoria University, Kampala is a new university with an ambitious and rapid growth strategy. The business model is based on bringing western standards of good practice and British qualifications to East Africa. The University received its operating licence in December 2011 and will admit its first students in July this year.
The University is looking to recruit a Registrar to establish a fully functioning Registry with responsibilities including admissions, student registration, student records, appeals, issue of transcripts, and timetabling and examination arrangements. Applicants should have a minimum of good Bachelors degree and substantial experience of Registry operations in a modern professional university environment: this should include experience of computerised Management Information Systems.
The remuneration consists of annual gross salary of US$ 68,000 plus housing, transport, medical cover, phone allowance and two return tickets per year.
