Description: | IMA World Health is currently seeking an experienced Chief of Party (COP) for an anticipated USAID-funded project to build the capacity of Kenyan organizations to lead and empower civil society to better respond to the health needs and well-being of all Kenyans. The COP will provide leadership and management for all aspects of program development, including technical and financial management, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting; assuring quality, impact and cost effectiveness for the successful implementation of the project. |
Duties: | The COP will maintain collaborative working relationships with the donor, the Ministry of Health at the national and regional levels, international and local partners, and other stakeholders. S/he will provide effective management and support of staff and provide guidance and assistance in reporting, documentation and knowledge management. |
Qualifications: | Desired qualifications: Master’s degree in health or related field (PhD or doctoral degree preferred); at least 8 years’ successful experience in the management of health programs of similar size and scope in Africa; demonstrated technical knowledge, demonstrated skills and experience in institutional strengthening, health service delivery and linkages between communities and health facilities; demonstrated performance as a decision-maker with excellent interpersonal skills; and demonstrated leadership working effectively within and across the health, community, and NGO/FBO/CBO and private sectors., English fluency required. Kiswahili fluency strongly preferred. |
