About us
Railway Children Africa works to create sustainable change for children that live on the streets.
We develop effective contact and reintegration services, challenging attitudes and strengthening community responses, as well as lobbying for appropriate policies and plans to protect street connected children.
With a wide range of stakeholders, the Head of Programmes will play a significant role in how our work is developed and implemented.
About the role
Reporting into the East Africa Regional Director (UK based) and managing 3 direct reports, the Head of Programmes will lead the growth and delivery of the Railway Children Africa programmes in Tanzania.
Your role will be to develop and deliver high quality strategies for supporting children on the streets, ensuring we are recognised as the lead agency working on the issue of street connected children.
About you
We see you bringing to the role significant experience in a leadership or senior management role within an international development organization, having managed budgets in the region of $1.2m.
You will need to have experience within child protection, working with vulnerable children or street children programming.
Most importantly we are seeking a candidate who is committed to improving the lives of street connected children in Tanzania.

Salary: Negotiable on experience
