ACADEMY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
POSITION DESCRIPTION:

WORLD VISION TANZANIA is a Christian relief development and advocacy non- government organization dedicated to working with children families and communications to overcome poverty and injustice
With the understanding that only when families have economic security can they turn their attention to the need of their children WVT has developed and launched a resilient small holder farmer strategy. The strategy seeks to improve the livelihoods of 155,000 Tanzanian small – holder farmers house hold and through increase production and productivity while promoting sustainable use of natural resource and connecting farmers to market and access to credits
To implement the aforesaid strategic vision is launching a world vision Tanzania Academy internship program to build critical mass of hands- on agribusiness expert that would be used to build the capacity of farmers in conducting agriculture as business. The broad goal is to support skills transfer mindset change and technological knowhow that will help small farmers adopt innovations improve productivity and catalyze agricultural system transformation thus contributing to improve food security and income of small scale farmers for the wellbeing of their children
QUALIFICATIONS
- Fresh graduates from a recognize university or academic institutions preferred with a degree in BSC IN AGROOMY/ LIVESTOCK/ANIMAL SCIENCE AND AGRICULTURE GENERAL
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in both Kiswahili and English
- Be willing to live and stay in WVTs natural communities for (1) year during the internal ship program
- Be willing to abide to WV’s and core values
