Position: Capacity Development Intern
Location: Johannesburg
Salary: R5000 per month
Duration: Fixed Term Contract 4 months

Purpose of the Role:
To provide support to the administration, co-ordination and project management of the 2016/7 capacity building planning and Feminist leadeship capacity development plan.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide logistics support to capacity building planning processes, includes but not limited to meeting co-ordination, minutes, follow up etc.
- Collect and collate capacity building needs assessment and priorities information at each stage of the planning process.
- Respond to requests for information from IS and Country teams related to capacity development planning.
- Support the development and implementation of the 2016/7 capacity development planning project plan.
- Follow up on information requests from IS and Country teams.
- Research and compile resource materials to support the roll out of the Feminist Leadership capacity development plan.
- Conduct interviews with ActionAid staff on Feminist Leadership and Learning and Development experiences. Transcribe and package the findings for sharing.
Desired Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in, business administration or related field from a nationally / internationally recognised university would be an advantage.
- Strong administration experience.
- Basic project management experience
- Experience with research and writing
- Well organized and able to apply skills to large amounts of information.
- Excellent people skills working across different levels and cultures
- Has experience of working to deadlines and the ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
- A proactive approach to duties, continually looking at ways to improve processes.
- Understands and values process and is customer oriented - focuses on internal customer needs at all times.
- Good communication skills. Fluent spoken and written English. Good interpersonal skills.
- Good administration, planning and project management skills.
