Description
In response to the influx of Burundian refugees into Tanzania, the IRC is scaling up its health response in the Kasulu and Kigoma regions. The health team will be managing health clinics/posts in entry points and reception centres, helping support government facilities to manage the influx within existing structures, and implementing primary health care within a new camp. The Clinical Site Lead positions will manage the Expat Nurse and provide clinical oversite within these facilities, in addition to supporting targeted capacity building, and direct clinical care, over a period of 6-12 months.
The Clinical Site Lead will work to ensure the improved quality health care and wellbeing for patients within our facilities in collaboration with expert logistics, WPE, Reproductive Health, and Environmental Health personnel. The IRC will adhere to the highest standards of care, in-line with MOH protocols, for patients under our care.
The IRC will prioritise Medical Doctors who are immediately available for a minimum of 6 months and who have experience in international health care and refugee health.

Under the supervision of the Health Coordinator, the Clinical Site Leads will be responsible for providing clinical support to IRC Nurse Managers and Evironmental Health Specialists who are supervising national staff within our supported facilities, where Burundian refugees (as well as host populations in some cases) are receiving health screening and routine and emergency medical support.
