Branch Accountant , Korogwe and Mwanza

FANIKIWA MICROFINANCE COMPANY is a growing Microfinance Institution with branches in Dar es salaam (head office and branch) Mwanza, Arusha, Korogwe and Zanzibar. We serve more than 2, 000 entrepreneurs with business and agriculture loan products to improve their business activities and increase their household income. Fanikiwa also offers unique insurance products to our clients that help them to mitigate major risks

FANIKIWA is seeking to recruit qualified, highly motivated performance driven and experienced Tanzanians interested in working is a dynamic and challenging environment, FANIKIWA is currently looking to fill the position of BRANCH ACCOUNTANT for Korogwe and Mwanza Branch

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs branch reconciliation and coordinates with other personnel to resolve promptly all reconciling items pending
Ensure the completeness of supporting documents for all of the recorded transactions in the branch’s accounting records
Ensure that the accounting books and records of the branch are properly filled and stored for efficient retrieval in the future
Produces financial reports of the branch, including cash flow, balance sheet, etc. at the close of each “Banking’ day, and at month end
Produces timely, detailed MIS reports needed to HO for submission to Bank of Tanzania, and other regulatory agencies
Reconciles balances of cash maintained in banks and other financial institutions, with the branch accounting records
Keeps a systematic monitoring of all branch property and equipment, monitors its movement and reviews is condition compared book value

Qualifications
Education/experience
Minimum a University degree in Accounting/related studies
Must have at least 1-2 years experience doing accounting work in financial institution
