The United Nations seeks qualified Medical Officers to be included in the roster for immediate deployment to Ebola-affected countries in Africa. These positions are primarily involved in non-Ebola Treatment Units. Each clinic, however, may receive walk-in patients who meet case criteria.
Isolation, holding and transfer capability is within the scope of practice for these posts.
Education: Doctorate or equivalent degree in Medicine. ACLS/BCLS certification and/or certification in tropical and travel medicine is required.
Work experience: A minimum of five years of progressively responsible medical experience. Experience working in the UN or an International Organization, especially in conflict areas and adverse living conditions is required.
