SOMANGA GAS PLANT

MECHANICAL TECHNCIAN (1 POST) Reports to: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Responsible for ensuring running of machines/all plant equipments as pertained to their functional procedures.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• To ensure that preventive maintenance of all plants/equipment is being followed and carried out as per schedules.
• Keep maintenance records, equipment status updating and submit work reports after repairs or preventive maintenances.
• Identify all faults/defects of the equipment and carry out repairs.
• To advise mechanical engineer on matters regarding major repairs and overhaul of the plant and equipment.
• Preparation of working drawings and specification of new works to be undertaken by Engineer.
• To maintain all equipments and working tools under your jurisdiction.                                                                                  

Key Knowledge, Experience and Skills you must posses

• Form IV or VI secondary certificate.
• Holder of FTC or Ordinary Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience
• Computer literacy will be an added advantage.

REMUNERATION
