ELECTRICIAN

ELECTRICIAN - (1 POST) Reports To: Electrical Technician

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Responsible for ensuring that preventive and breakdown duties of all electrical installations are executed in a manner that will promote rather than hinder business unit functionsrunning of machines/all plant equipments as pertained to their functional procedures

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for safe and economic maintenance of the plant.
• To ensure company security and safety regulations are being observed all the time. The priority must be the personnel safety and security of company equipment.
• Responsible in preparing all schedule preventive maintenance
• Inspect electrical system, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Responsible for testing of electrical system and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmeteters, voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of the system
• Diagnose malfunctioning system apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
• Write reports regarding Plant’s operations on a daily basis

Key Knowledge, Experience and Skills you must possess:

• Form IV or VI secondary certificate.
• Holder of Trade Test Grade I
• Computer literacy will be an added advantage

REMUNERATION
