Education

- At least a Master’s Degree (development studies, peace and security or related field)

Professional Experience

Ten years’ experience and competence in the following areas:

 Knowledge of public sector governance and public finance principles (accountability, transparency and competition)

 Proven experience and knowledge of EDF procedures, including drafting or implementing Programme Estimates

 Experience working with an EU Delegation on procurement of supplies

 Previous work experience with the EAC would be an asset

 Experience in human security, maritime security, peace and justice fields would be an asset

 Experience with pan-African and/or sub-regional cooperation in the Eastern & Southern Africa, knowledge and understanding of regional integration processes would be an asset

 Excellent command of English (working language)

 Swahili would be an asset
