Roles and responsibilities	• Drive office vehicle (official purposes only) • Deliver and collect mail, pouch, documents and other items as instructed • Meet official personnel at the airport and facilitate immigration and customs formalities as required • Responsible for the day-to day maintenance of the assigned vehicles including checking oil, water, battery, tires etc.  • Perform minor repair and /or arrange for other repairs and ensure that the vehicle is kept clean and is always in a good running condition • Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc. • Ensure that steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accident • Perform miscellaneous office support functions such as messenger services, making photocopies • Assist basic field operations such as plot layout, labeling sample bags, sample collection, and data recording under the supervision of a scientist • Assist with the supervision and payment of casual laborers and field workers • Perform other related duties as assigned by your supervisors
Skill set	• Ordinary Level Secondary Education • Certificate of Driving from recognized college • Possession of clean Driving License of Class C • A minimum of 5 years working experience on driving passenger vehicles in international organizations or NGOs • Fluent in Kiswahili and English • Basic mechanical skills

Job Summary	The Driver/Field Assistant will be responsible for driving and maintaining the good working condition of the Centre’s vehicles, acting as the office assistant, assisting in the transfer and delivery of field materials and supporting in field work that does not require professional expertise at the ICRAF Tanzania Office.
