Roles and responsibilities | • Drive office vehicle (official purposes only) • Deliver and collect mail, pouch, documents and other items as instructed • Meet official personnel at the airport and facilitate immigration and customs formalities as required • Responsible for the day-to day maintenance of the assigned vehicles including checking oil, water, battery, tires etc. • Perform minor repair and /or arrange for other repairs and ensure that the vehicle is kept clean and is always in a good running condition • Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc. • Ensure that steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accident • Perform miscellaneous office support functions such as messenger services, making photocopies • Assist basic field operations such as plot layout, labeling sample bags, sample collection, and data recording under the supervision of a scientist • Assist with the supervision and payment of casual laborers and field workers • Perform other related duties as assigned by your supervisors |
Skill set | • Ordinary Level Secondary Education • Certificate of Driving from recognized college • Possession of clean Driving License of Class C • A minimum of 5 years working experience on driving passenger vehicles in international organizations or NGOs • Fluent in Kiswahili and English • Basic mechanical skills |
