DIRECTOR INVESTMENTS AND MARKETING

The Director of Investments and Marketing, reports to the Managing Director and has responsibilities of identifying, advising, and monitoring mining investments and promoting Corporation’s image and services.

4.1 Principal duties and responsibilities

• Heads the Investments and Marketing directorate;

• Directs and supervises the functions of the directorate;

• Advises on economic and development minerals related issues;

• Provides marketing and communication services;

• Coordinates preparation of plans and budgets and evaluates their implementation;
• Coordinates and monitor research and development projects with joint venture companies;
• Checks the annual and semiannual performance reports submitted to him by the Managers;

• In collaboration with the Managers monitors and evaluates program;

• Develops individual objectives/targets and performance standards as part of individual performance agreement in consultation with the immediate superior; and

• Performs any other duties as assigned by immediate superior


4.2 Professional Qualifications and Experience

Holder of Masters Degree in Business Administration or equivalent with minimum experience of 10 years 5 of which must have been in a senior position.

4.3 Competence among others are:-

• Computer literacy is essential;

• Ability to communicate with excellent writing skills; and

• Ability to supervise and direct multifunctional professionals.

4.4 Remuneration

According to STAMICO schemes of service in the salary scale of STAMICO - Salary Scale SMC 10.
