Department: Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries (b) Qualifications and Experience 
Applicants should possess the following academic and professional qualifications.
 Holder of relevant Master’s degree.

 A minimum of ten (10) years of working experience, five years of which must be at senior position in a reputable Institution.
(c) Main Duties: 
 Is responsible for all laboratory support activities for research, teaching and consultancy which require high level of technical knowledge and quality. 
 Develops/modifies students experiments in consultation with academic members of staff
 Liaises with academic and administrative staff on matters related to the respective laboratory
 Is responsible for plans and implementation and maintenance programmes for all facilities in one’s laboratory
 Participates in the development and organization of training programmes for junior technical staff in the respective laboratory
 Is responsible for the on-the-job training of technicians and artisans
 Advises on the planning and procurement of laboratory facilities
 Participates in high level consultancy and service jobs.
 Performs any other duties assigned from time to time by one’s reporting officer.
