Overview of Delta Partnership
Delta Partnership is a highly regarded, international development consultancy firm offering bespoke solutions which maximise the impact of development funds. Established in 2000 and operating primarily in East Africa, the UK and the Caribbean, Delta has extensive experience of enabling better and more equitable public services to citizens. We have a steadily growing turnover currently standing at £1.5 million per year. Delta has a core team of employees who are dedicated to furthering the growth of Delta whilst maintaining our unique, innovative and results focused style. In addition, we have around 20 regularly used and highly skilled associate consultants with whom we have built excellent working relationships and a number of strategic partnerships with other development focused entities.
We currently have a permanent presence in the UK, Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia. We have worked in over 20 countries, across the whole of government, with civil society and in specific sectors such as health, education, justice and the environment. The Role of the Country Manager
Delta Partnership is looking for a full-time regional manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the Kenyan office and contribute to the overall strategic direction and growth of the company in the East Africa region. The successful candidate will have overall management of the Kenyan team, directing some major assignments and overseeing the quality of work done by others. The country manager will be responsible for refining and implementing our country business plan and for raising the profile of Delta Partnership.
Specific duties will include:
• Directing and overseeing significant amounts of work that are contracted from the Kenya office, including assignments in neighboring countries;
• Delivering a target level of chargeable work;
• Leading on representing Delta in Kenya, networking and building strategic relationships with clients, partners and associates;
• Ensuring the Delta Kenya office operations align with Delta’s objectives, values and policies;
• Managing Delta team members in the Kenya office and leading on core human resource functions e.g. performance reviews, recruitment, training
• Leading on the refinement and implementation of the Delta Kenya office business plan;
• Leading on the implementation of strategies for winning more work e.g. proposal writing, team compilation, partnership strategies.

Qualities and attributes of the successful candidate

The successful candidate will be available to start work on a full time basis as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual with:
- At least 5 years’ experience of successfully running and growing an organisation or office in a leadership capacity;
- At least 15 years’ experience in the international development or public sector management, preferably in East Africa;
- A masters level qualification;
- A creative and innovative attitude with an ability to work in a flexible and autonomous environment.
