Chemonics International is seeking resumes for the following positions for a USAID-funded program which aims to strengthen institutional capacity of organizations to produce high quality research on land related issues and strengthen understanding of land law and policy among citizens and government throughout Rwanda. Enumerator
The enumerator will assist in the collection of baseline data that will be used to assess the outcomes and impacts of the LAND Project. Data will be collected from approximately 360 individuals residing in four districts of Rwanda. The enumerator will work for a period of 4-5 weeks under a short-term consulting contract that consists of a 6 day work week. The majority of the work will be carried out in rural areas and it is expected that the enumerator will lodge in these areas during the period of assignment. The enumerator will report to the LAND Project Monitoring
Roles and responsibilities:
  • Administer questionnaires to household members in 4 districts of Rwanda as part of an effort to collect baseline data that will be used to assess outcomes of the LAND Project.
  • Conduct a minimum of 8 interviews per day according to survey procedures.
  • Review questionnaires to ensure completeness before concluding interviews.
  • Meet with field supervisor at end of each work day to review completed work and plan for the following day.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor´s degree, preferably in a social science field.
  • Experience in administration of questionnaires/surveys, with a minimum of 6 months of cumulative experience.
  • Strong commitment to producing excellent quality, with superior attention to detail and a low tolerance for making errors.
  • Proven ability to engage cordially and respectfully with rural residents and with fellow colleagues; excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated, energetic and fit; willing and able to spend up to 5 weeks doing fieldwork in rural areas, with Sundays as a rest day.
  • Collegiality and team spirit.
