Tetra Tech ARD, a leading international development consulting firm based in Burlington, Vermont and Washington, D.C., is currently seeking both short and long term Capacity Development and Performance Improvement professionals for an anticipated series of USAID-funded programs worldwide. These programs focus on USAID assistance being more effective and sustainable by strengthening the institutional performance of host country to engage in economic and social development. Expected positions may include, but are not limited to, chiefs of party, specific subject matter experts, component leaders, Human and Institutional Capacity Development (HICD) specialists, and short term technical assistance advisers.
Expected Responsibilities Include: *Conducting capacity and performance assessments of local institutions *Developing performance solutions packages at the sector, institutional, work unit, and individual levels *Implementing performance solutions through sector-specific consultations, coaching, research studies, technical for (trainings, seminars, workshops), commodities, small grants, and other relevant technical assistance *Developing Organizational Performance Monitoring and Management Systems that establish baseline performance data along with an appropriate performance monitoring and management systems for monitoring organizational performance improvements *Fostering an enabling environment at the national, local, and/or community levels for institutions selected to receive assistance.
Qualifications: *Minimum 5 years professional experience in development, management, consulting, capacity building or related field *Strong communication skills, including interpersonal and in written and oral English, to fulfill diverse technical and managerial program requirements and to effectively coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders and beneficiaries *CPT (Capacity Performance Technologist) and/or HPI (Human Performance Improvement) certification preferred and/or willingness to become certified *Demonstrated technical proficiency implementing programs focused on building the capacity of host country institutions, with a focus in one of the following development sectors:
*Agriculture and Economic Growth *Democracy and Governance *Environment and Natural Resources *Land Tenure and Property Rights
