1 - Position:
Job Title: senior official for employment.

Supervisor: Head of Department of Labor and Employment and Immigration.

2 - Tasks and responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Chief Department for Work and employment will be a great employee employment the following tasks:
• Preparation and organization of the sessions of the Working Committee and Social Affairs of the African Union,
• coordinate the work of the Committee on Labor and Social Affairs of the African Union,
• Follow up the implementation of the obligations of the Labour and Social Affairs and the obligations of the Heads of State and Governments of the Member States,
• the study of global commitments and strategies on poverty reduction, employment, employment and related matters,
• Develop a strategy for cooperation between the AU and partners,
• Develop a common African position on matters relating to the African group and coordinate their activities within the framework of the International Labour Conference,
• follow up and coordinate the implementation of the results of the Extraordinary Summit of employment and poverty reduction, held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso in September 2004 (the Declaration and Action Plan on employment and poverty reduction mechanisms and follow-up),
• Monitoring and evaluating the implementation agreements and international programs of action,
• promote the implementation of policies and programs of the African Union on the informal economy, productivity,
• Strengthening social security in Africa and adapted over a continent-wide,
• promote the principle of tripartism and social dialogue,
• monitor and evaluate the implementation of international conventions on social security and social protection,
• coordinate and provide support to various programs of the agencies specialized in labor and employment,
• promote the exchange of experiences and best practices with regard to employment, employment and social security systems,
• preparation of reports, meetings, workshops, work-related and employment.
3 - educational qualifications are required:
Requires that candidates possess at least a master's degree in economics or social rights Oalalom.
4 - Alamlahalmtalobh experience:
Requires that candidates possess the practical experience of not less than 8 years in the field of labor and employment policies.
5 - Other relevant skills:
- Knowledge of the basics of computer,
- Working knowledge of policy analysis and development and program / project management, implementation and follow-up,

6 - Language requirements:
Knowledge of one of the African Union working languages and knowledge are one or more of the other working languages, an advantage.
7 - Age Requirement:
Preferably from the age of the candidates between 30 and 45 years old.
8 - The period of appointment:
Appointment is under contract for a specific period of three (3) years, are the first 12 months of a period of testing and after the contract is for two years and be renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
